Cents Ability

Our Workshops make Cents!

Since 2004, Cents Ability has taught free financial literacy workshops to teens throughout the New York City area. Our founding members, working alongside the National Endowment for Financial Education (NEFE), developed an educational and engaging curriculum for teenagers. The course of study is divided into eight 45-minute modules so that even the busiest teen, as well as the volunteers who teach them, can manage the commitment.

In 2018, we completed a comprehensive revision and enhancement of our program curriculum. As a result, our updated material and activities are even more relevant to today’s teens.

As a supplement to our class work modules, we also have a student workbook. It is filled with dozens of interactive activities and enables students to continue their learning journey.
